So for today remember. . .
“Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow." ~ ~ ~ Mary Anne Radmacher
My goal for this blog is to write as often as possible, stay positive, look for the good which is always around despite the things "a day in the life" can send my way to attempt to camouflage the good in my life and in myself, from my eyes!
Courage - pulling out my favorite dictionary now and here is the definition of courage: "That quality of mind which enables one to meet danger and difficulties with firmness; valor." "Courage, mettle, spirit, resolution, and tenacity mean a human quality which keeps one going in the face of opposition or danger. Courage stresses firmness of mind or purpose and the casting aside of fear; mettle suggests an ingrained capacity for meeting stress or strain; spirit, though suggesting less vitality than mettle, implies an ability to hold one's own or to keep up one's morale indefinitely; resolution, like courage, implies firmness of mind and purpose, but it stresses determination to achieve one's ends; tenacity adds to resolution the implications of stubborn persistence and unwillingness to acknowldege defeat." Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary (1953)
In my life it is most often difficulties that present the problems, not danger, and for that I am grateful! I have never forgotten the first time someone told me I had courage, I did not believe them, and could give plenty of reasons why not! Thirty years later there are days when I see it, and days when I do not, but what a gift it was to me, for this friend to share how they saw me through their eyes! I will try again tomorrow! =)
